Transparency Matters
Gahaya Gallery is built on trust. We believe buyers, donors, and supporters should understand how their support is used and how artists are helped.
When art is purchased through Gahaya Gallery, production and shipping costs are covered first. From the remaining profit, 90% goes directly to the artist. The remaining 10% helps cover the operations required to keep the gallery running, including website maintenance, administration, artist outreach, campaign development, and platform growth.
Donor and ministry support is separate from art purchase profit. This support helps sustain Celo's work in developing and operating Gahaya Gallery and the broader ministry. In this way, art purchases directly support artists, while donor support sustains the infrastructure that makes the work possible.
Gahaya Gallery itself is not a registered charity. Celo and Kelly are contracted through ACCI (Adventive Cross Cultural Initiatives), a registered Canadian charity, to carry out the ministry work behind the gallery. Donations given through ACCI support their contracted ministry role; artwork purchases follow the separate 90/10 model that benefits the artist directly.
We also believe transparency protects dignity. Artists should not be used as emotional marketing tools. Their stories should be shared with care, and support should be explained honestly.
Artist Support
After production and shipping costs are covered, 90% of the remaining profit from each art purchase goes directly to the artist. This helps artists receive meaningful financial support and recognition for their work.
Gallery Operations
10% of the remaining profit helps Gahaya Gallery operate. This supports website maintenance, administration, artist outreach, campaign development, and the ongoing work of finding and supporting new artists.
Production and Shipping Costs
Before profit is calculated, product production and shipping costs must be covered. This keeps the support model honest and sustainable. The 90/10 split applies to profit after these required costs, not to the full retail price.
Donor and Ministry Support
Donor and ministry support is separate from art purchase profit. This support helps sustain the work behind Gahaya Gallery, including development, administration, relationship-building, and broader ministry efforts.

We are committed to telling artist stories with care. We do not want artists to be reduced to hardship. We want their work, craft, dignity, resilience, and creative voice to be seen.
